A Guiding Light
The spiritual path can at times be challenging, and few are those who are blessed with a true teacher to guide them around the pitfalls and hurdles they inevitably encounter. A spontaneous Kundalini awakening for instance can totally throw the unprepared out of balance to the point where they cannot cope with their lives any more. Spiritual guidance is essential, but where to look for it? A traditional counsellor will be out of their depth and may even mistake a Kundalini awakening or spirit problems as a mental illness. Often a spiritual awakening will eventually lead into the so called Dark Night of the Soul, a time of testing and extreme anguish -- and often utter isolation. It is always the darkest before the dawn, but when you are in this state it may feel as if the darkness is swallowing you and your suffering will never end. Do not despair, even in the darkest time, having a better spiritual understanding will help you to weather the storm.
Through my own practice of Yoga and having had a Kundalini awakening which eventually culminated in self realisation I am well aware of the difficulties spiritual seekers have in these challenging times. In my own Dark Night of the Soul I was left utterly alone and abandoned. It was only through my spiritual connection and the grace of Lord Shiva and the Goddess that I made it through the darkness and emerged into the light transformed. Having been there and come out the other end of the tunnel I am now able to help others who are going through similar experiences.
Though I cannot walk the path for you, let me a be a guiding light to show you way out of the darkness and into the light of a new spiritual beginning.
